now before you even crit, look at the reference photo [link] and realize that it's not the standard Ricci ref. As in it doesn't scream "ricci" as a ref like [link] might... then again, I am not drawing Wednesday Adams.

I however loved this photo, and had to use it as a ref... it along with another were just killer shots, doesn't matter who the subject was. Make-up and everything else just tickled me. As always, I distorted the reference, and I'm getting some flack for that over at GFX (then again, I have to remember that GFX artists value their own opinions quite highly, and tend to vote or favour things that I might not consider art). Having said that however, I really do regret the fact that she doesn't resemble Ricci. I think it's a combo of the fact her eyes are looking down (so we can't see them protruding the way we normally can), and her forehead not looking as large. I'm aware of it. If you want to point it out after I've said I'm aware of it, you may. Many times if you feel the need. My wip shot looked more of Ricci so I thought I would share [link]

Here's a couple of photos of it in my room, for those who wanted to see it more to scale & with the border that I had to crop out of this. It's on 18x24 inch Stratmore drawing paper. Done with mainly vine & compressed charcoal, with details such as eyelashes/hairstrands/and the outline done with 6b charcoal pencil.
