...but who could resist
when given a kiss by the infamous Damien Thorn fullview w/o DA watermark [link] (but still with my watermark) Warning: Print may be darker than what appears on your monitor. There was more to the rhyme, but it was superfluous. This is a combo painting and photo manip. The characters are mine, but a lot of photos were added to the background & foreground during the painting process. I worked on this in photoshop and then painter for brushstrokes. I must have spent 40-60 hours on this, the bench alone took me 3-4. I never thought anything could be more difficult to paint than striped stockings, and I was wrong. my personal stock used: [link] Why a summer/spring painting in winter? Because first love reminds me of the summer & early fall. It's where it'll always be held for me. lucky day!, lucky day!! my lucky day!!!
I love this, so much.
Except the girls eyes... they're scary and kind of cold, like she's going to jump out of my moniter and rip my heart out. ;_;
I'll shut up...
Sorry...
It's good.

Here kitty kitty, with your fur soft as silk
Come kitty kitty, and drink your ~poisonmilk
I didn't follow the strand from the pink balloon, going over Mr Thorn, too well... thought it was some design on his clothes until I followed it going from his pants to over his wrist. The way it goes over his wrist is very provocative. It's not really a natural way for it to somehow end up like that, so it feels very deliberate and I wonder what you're trying to say with it. It feels restrictive, as if it's over his hand in order to tie him down. Then the way the balloon strands crisscross and fall, it's sort of romantic, but still edgy and dark.
I like the way the narrative goes back and forth, based on the painting itself and that little poem. Is this a case the bad boy seducing the good girl?
The demon child entrapping the arrogant rapscallion?
Story elements I'm reading are the bird/butterfly, The boy/girl, and then the balloons.
...and demon eyes (and what's she holding?).
