my new wacom

I started this weeks ago and quit doing it, and figured I wouldn't finish, until I had to pick up my pen today to start some concept work for something else. It was practice for me trying to be slightly more on the illustrative side.

No, I don't need to hear whether or not this is worse than my other paintings... you may think I do, but really... I'm fine. I'll pass on the "helpful tidbits" such as those. On the positive side, when I don't spend as much time on something, I don't need to worry about watermarking it♥

And, just because I KNOW one of you lovelies are going to say something; I'll answer it now. Because, let's face it, things aren't abundantly clear unless someone is spelling it out in bold print (sorry I'm skimping on the bold today).

Yes, I did happen to notice I didn't match the shadows up exactly. Imagine that.

And for all of you other people who do have two braincells to rub together; you know I luvs you, and I welcome useful crits.

Incredible use of shadows! I always love your balloon symbolism...
I'm not sure if you meant for this, but the words almost seem between the shadow and the boy (a little away from the wall), like the two personalities/identities are sharing a thought...
I also love the graceful juxtaposed with the rough (not sure if you meant for that either)

you should never worry about how your art is gonna be percieved. let us undersand it better than you understand it yourself :D

The dragon thing rising out of the smokes shadow really makes this for me. I really like the texture on the wall. Fantastic work.
