[link] original brilliant painting by John Singer Sargent

I wanted to do a recreation of this for the longest time. I'm didn't try to completely copy his his work, just wanted to do a my style meets his version.
he was a genius, and he's one of the biggest influences on my colouring techniques... him and rockwell *gush

here's a close up... don't make fun of the lack of fingernails... they weren't really required for the overall painting [link]

This is an excellent representation of the original, I even think it has more passion in it, the face is so much stronger, or in my view anyway. Excellent :)

Are tears from the angels crying
Tears falling from joyful laughter
The breeze their gentle sighing

Even if the original and your version do not give exactly same impressions, your work is splendid!
The curve of the body is superb and the stature of the woman very elegante, but her lost eyes seems so sad....

I have to say I prefer your version. I'm so jealous of the tonal work in the face...
