You'll have to full view this, unless you have REALLY amazing eyesight, as the preview is so tiny you might be tempted to burn it with a magnifying glass. I know there are those of you who can't be arsed though... baah
---------------- Inspired by my contest, Rockwell's works (the boy is sort of a mixture of Rockwell himself, and Brian from The Dresden Dolls), past works of mine, my childhood, and all those people tired of butterflies in paintings, or rather some pretty chick with butterflies and nothing really going on *yay*
Probably one of the hardest paintings I've ever done, not because I achieved fantastic lighting (I know I've done better), but because I wanted to go for a realism/comic style and do my first ever triptych painting. It took far longer than I had planned, partially because I am working constatly now, and partially because there was so many damn hands and feet to do. I could have probably refined it more, but that's always the case, no?
Used my favourite colour combo, blue with red... addicted to the way that combo looks *sigh*. Perhaps not as pleasing as the green/yellow/red combos I normally go for, but I likes different things on occasion. The butterflies (once again) were taken from stock photos of mine.
----------------------- CS2 Wacom and a much smaller percent than I would like to post, but you know how that goes.
You've done a brilliant job. Time well spent. I'm always in awe of the way in which you illustrate children. Quite wonderful. ^_^ I love their expressions.
I would hate to have to do 3 panels featuring the same characters in this sort of detail! You pulled it off. I love the first panel especially her look of horror. Those white lines work well too.

This is pretty. I love the boy's expression in the last panel and the girl's expression in the second, but still love the whole piece all the same. x.x I find it funny how he has a sewing needle hidden behind his back. XD
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
