ha, I hate to do this, but I am seriously too lazy to write a description for this again. So I'm copy & pasting what I used on the WIP and changing a few words to make it gramically correct.

for my dear, sweet mum (har, my mother literally wears combat boots-- Oh wait, I think my sister stole those from her, nm). While she's been into lotR long before a movie was ever made, she did like the movie depiction of the book, and that's why I used the actual actor in his garb for this. I know how taboo it is to do such a thing, I've seen loads of people say such, but I really could give a rats ass, it's for my mom, anyhow.

Done on Stonehenge printmaker paper. Pencils from HB grade to 6b. And, of course, a photo reference.

If I have any crit for myself it's on his thumb, and I had to scan the drawing in half and half and match it up, I really don't know if I did an excellent job with that. It looks fine to me, but if anyone sees some obvious seam, they can let me know and I'll try it again (ugh).

Oh yes, one final thing (as if this needed to be any longer), the reason I chose this particular pose is because Gandalf, with all his powers, be it with the sword, or with his staff, seems to rather prefer smoking herb and contemplating the state of Middle Earth.
