You are a great impressionist artist, congratulations! I love your brushstrokes,Most of the digital paintings are overly smooth and don't looks like art, your work it's completely different. How do you blend the painting? I hope one day i can be able to do this.
Concept on mac (who changed his sobriquet to David Holland on here now) has some great brush packs: [link] took me a minute to find him due to name change! But if you search for photoshop brushes on the main page gobs come back... I just wouldn't personally pick any who ask you to credit them because about a year from now you're not going to remember where you got the brushes from (in my experience)
Thanks!! Hmnmn I use multiple brushes almost too many to list.
Mostly I use a solid round brush thats been flattened, a plain airbrush, multiple custom brushes that include one I've dubbed my "watercolour" brush but really it's just a great blending brush. I use random scatter brushes for the freckles and the boxes randomly seen in the painting. I use a scatter dodge brush to sprinkle on high areas of light. I use smudge and a "skin blender" brush I have as well.
over the years I've named the brushes I use the most by what I consider their purpose for me to be and when I'm painting depending on what stage I'm in that's the brush I'll use but I've found I can go into almost any painting program and find default brushes to use to achieve a similar effect so if you've photoshop already you can download almost any brush pack from deviantart and find something good in it. I know of some good ones on here and I'll look for them when I'm home!
